Update July 25: came for lunch and ordered the steamed shark - meat is soft and smooth. It’s expensive at RM172. A good reasonable price restaurant with some unique dishes- such as shark lips and fried Chee cheong fun. The fried CCF is really tasty and the fried lala bihun has lots of lala - both of these are highly recommended. Better to book before you come as this highly popular restaurant is full on the Friday night and many people who didn’t make reservations had to be turned away.
This seafood restaurant truly impressed me! The service was excellent, with staff who were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience very pleasant. The ingredients were extremely fresh — every dish captured the natural flavors of the seafood without any fishy taste. There was a wide variety of dishes to choose from, whether steamed, stir-fried, or specialty creations, there’s something for everyone. The prices were also very reasonable, offering great value for money. You can enjoy a feast without worrying about your wallet. Highly recommended for all seafood lovers — definitely worth a visit!
Delicious. Fresh. Quality. Reasonable pricing. Great service. Must return for more signature dishes. Highly recommended. Best to make table reservations. Prawns crackers are the best!
Kuan Kei in Aman Suria is the kind of restaurant you instantly feel at home in. It has a warm, family-style vibe where the food speaks for itself—comforting, hearty, and full of flavor. Every dish feels like it’s been cooked with love, with that unmistakable “family kitchen” touch that makes you want to keep coming back. The variety is great, portions are generous, and everything we tried was consistently delicious. What I really enjoyed was the atmosphere—it’s lively yet cozy, making it perfect for both casual weeknight dinners and relaxed weekend family meals. It’s the sort of place where you don’t just eat, you linger and enjoy. If you’re looking for authentic flavors, good value, and that homely charm in a restaurant, Kuan Kei is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended for anyone who loves food that warms both the heart and the stomach!
Was ok. Food was good and the fish was very fresh. The crab was nice but the sauce was a little bland. The bread that came with the crab was good. One major issue, all the tables seem to be large tables for 8 people but we were just a party of 4. I saw couples sitting at the large tables and they had to share them with others when the restaurant got a little busy. It would be great if they had a few smaller tables to cater for smaller groups. Service was average. By the way, make sure you have a reservation. Even midweek this place was full (of half-empty tables). I probably won’t be rushing back there.
Visited this Chinese restaurant for Saturday dinner. Although we had to wait for a table, we could place our order in advance, so the food was served quickly once seated. Taste was decent, portions generous and pricing quite reasonable. A good spot for casual dining.
I like the cooking, even we only ordered 2 of their specialties; fried sharks with fermented beans paste and curry fish head. the shark fillets are with skin...is a skill of know how to handle the shark, most will just remove it. curry with aroma and delicious. the fried shark fillets sauce blend well with salty, slight sourish, but not spicy even there are dried chilis in the dish. is a last minute decision to dine here, we were 1st customer, but all tables are booked. this i must give them a thumb up to monitor walk in customer vs booked table. price is reasonable, very clean dining area, so are utensils. I haven't had chance to taste more since only 2 food portion is considered big and we had to carry our stomachs out. they have some single plate dishes and porridge too I will visit again to try other dishes. 2nd visit, salted egg chicken and sambal squid, both are nice with strong taste, good to eat with rice.
Great atmosphere, crowded and noisy, full of vibes! ⭐. The staffs are very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Food is not bad. Salted fish pork belly is very good. Seabass with sweet and sour sauce is not bad, crab meat tofu is pretty good. Oyster omelette is very good with very generous amount of oysters. Vegetable soup is average. Price is reasonable. Overall not bad.
